Using a crochet hairpin lace tool, you can create really unique-looking projects that are light and airy—something casual for home decor or something fancy for a wedding.

Ultimately, your yarn choices create the overall styling for this concept.

At the bottom of this article is a step by step beginner tutorial to use as well.

Some Helpful Information About Crochet Hairpin Lace

  1. The stripes can be as long as you want them to be.
  2. The loom when turning is turned like you are reading a book.
  3. The stripes can be used on their own or they can be joined together.
  4. The number of loops used to join or crochet along the side loops is up to you. It can vary.

The Crochet Hairpin Lace Baby Blanket has been in my sights for years. It is actually 20 stripes that are joined together and the outside edge is just braided.

There is no crocheting required on the side loops of any of the strips. The number of loops uses to join the strips together is only 4.

How I keep my tail from removing the Hairpin Lace from the frame from twisting? Then my working yarn gets twisted in the stitches. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong, when the stitches are removed so I can continue working on additional stitches

You could fasten off the end of the tail by weaving it in and out of the first few stitches. I did that during prototype and I know that works.
